We're thrilled to announce the completion of our blue carbon ecosystem restoration project at Verity Nature! With the successful planting of 770 mangrove seedlings in Northern Australia, we've achieved an impressive 80% survival rate since December 2023, underscoring our dedication to environmental stewardship.
This science and technology-driven endeavour was the result of extensive stakeholder engagement and meticulous site selection. We planted eight different species endemic to the Northern Australia region, testing various planting techniques at different tidal elevations, including hand planting and drone seeding.
Key to our success was collaboration with partners such as one of the Northern Territory’s largest contract growers, international drone specialists, and eDNA experts. Together, we conducted extensive baseline data gathering across environmentally stressed and pristine reference sites, as well as restoration research zones.
Throughout the project, our Verity Carbon Blue™ Platform ensured seamless operation, enabling accurate data collection, accountability, and transparency. We're proud to have established an ongoing Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) system to monitor project integrity and environmental impact.
